Countries with Amnesia

I am not only a country, but a continent. I am the home of a famous crocodile hunter. The western part of my country has a sea breeze known as 'the Doctor'.

Shakespeare's greatest love story took place in one of my northern cities. Sophia Petrillo from 'Golden Girls' was born in one of my cities and I'm shaped like a popular piece of footwear.

The Dutch bought me in 1636. I am just slightly larger than Washington D.C and a popular vacation spot. The Beach Boys put my name in a famous song on the 'Cocktail' soundtrack.

My country is famous for its bull runs and annual tomato fights. I was neutral during WW 1 and WW 2. The Pyrenees mountain range separates me from another European country.

I am the largest country in the world. I also have a very cold desert. Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin had cities in my country that were named after them.
